April 2020 Collection Events – Canceled; No Collection Events Scheduled

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced yesterday (3/15/2020) the recommendation that event organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States. Following this guidance, and with concern for the health of the residents of Macon County, the Macon County Environmental Management Department has made the decision to cancel the April 4th electronics collection and the April 18th paint collection events and will not be scheduling any other collection events until further notice.

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Precautionary Measures

In response to the information made available by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Illinois Department of Public Health, as well as our local Macon County Health Department, Macon County Chairman Greenfield requests that residents do not come to the Macon County Building or Macon County Courthouse to conduct business unless it is completely necessary to do so.
